SHF1- Calcium Oxide
Calcium oxide, also known as quicklime, is a chemical compound composed of calcium and oxygen. It is widely used in various industries and applications, including cement production, painting, glassmaking, paper manufacturing, water treatment, gas purification.
Calcium oxide is produced by heating limestone (calcium carbonate) to high temperatures to decompose it into calcium oxide and carbon dioxide in a process known as calcination.
The purity percentage of calcium oxide (quicklime) can vary depending on the source and production method. Commercially available quicklime typically has a purity ranging from around 85% to 95%.
In SHF, we are using the limestone reserves in Jordan, which can be a primary source to produce quicklime. we guarantee the purity of quicklime produced in Jordan would likely be 97% at least.
SHF2: DAP Anti-Caking
DAP-Agent, or diammonium phosphate, is a commonly used fertilizer in agriculture. It contains two important nutrients for plant growth: nitrogen and phosphorus. Sometimes, DAP can be prone to caking, especially when exposed to moisture, which can lead to difficulties in handling and application.
To prevent caking and ensure the free-flowing nature of DAP, anti-caking agents are often added during the manufacturing process. These agents help to absorb excess moisture and create a barrier between particles, preventing them from clumping together.
In SHF, we provide the following physical and chemical properties:

SHF3- Calcium Hydroxide
Calcium hydroxide, also known as slaked lime or hydrated lime, is a chemical compound with the chemical formula Ca(OH)2. It is produced by adding water to calcium oxide (quicklime) in a process called slaking. This reaction generates a lot of heat and produces calcium hydroxide as a white powdery substance.
Calcium hydroxide has several important applications across various industries:
- Construction: It is used in the preparation of lime mortar and lime plaster. When mixed with water, it hardens and binds together materials like bricks or stones in construction.
- Water Treatment: Calcium hydroxide is commonly used in water treatment to adjust pH levels and remove impurities. It reacts with acidic pollutants, such as sulfur dioxide and hydrogen sulfide, to neutralize them.
- Soil Amendment: In agriculture, calcium hydroxide is used to amend acidic soils by neutralizing soil acidity and improving soil structure. This helps in enhancing nutrient availability and promoting plant growth.
- Chemical Manufacturing: It serves as a precursor in the production of various chemicals, including calcium stearate (used in plastics), calcium hypochlorite (a disinfectant), and calcium phosphate (a dietary supplement).
- Medical Applications: In dentistry, calcium hydroxide is used in root canal treatments as an intracanal medicament due to its antimicrobial properties and ability to promote dentin formation.
